Well, the countdown to Christmas is on! So, naturally I haven't been reading many books. Life has been full of nights spent wrapping gifts, buying gifts, planning meals, parties and drinks. So, it goes without saying that lately I've spent a huge portion of time devoted to reading recipes.
And I'll be honest, after scaning through atleast twenty food blogs, and various cookbooks - I still haven't found a stuffing recipe that really pumps me up. However, I will share some food blog recipes I made for my weekend holiday party and some recipes I plan to make for my Christmas Feast.
Hogwash - Spiced Nuts with Lime and Cayenne
I know these are good because my boyfriend ate them straight off the hot pan as they came out of the oven. I ended up making TRIPLE batches to satify the demand. I didn't have Kaffir limes, but normal limes were just as good :)
Bakingdom - Cinnarookies
I had REALLY high hopes for these cookies. I wanted them so badly. And in the end, they sort of turned out the same - but mine were alot smaller. I feel like i must have skipped a step or something. They tasted great, but I wanted bigger and puffier cookies. Give them a go! Even if I might have messed up.
David Lebovitz - Chocolate Pecan Pie
I've been searching around for a recipe to bake for dessert after my Christmas Feast. I thought about something light and fruity since we'll be stuffing ourselves silly. But, I think i'll go with one quick and final blast of chocolate, nuts and sugar. Go off on a high note, I say.
Have any Christmas recipes you would LOVE to share?? This is just a sample of a few of my plans and some good food blogs to follow too!
